City Manager
Justin Weber serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the City of Bangor, overseeing and managing the daily operations of the city. As the CAO, Mr. Weber plays a crucial role in implementing the decisions of the City Council.
The City Manager is responsible for the overall administration and management of the city’s operations. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that the policies and procedures set by the City Council are effectively implemented and carried out.
Mr. Weber’s role as the CAO involves working closely with the City Council and the Mayor to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the City. He acts as a liaison between the City Council and city departments, ensuring that all departments are aligned and working towards common goals.
The City Manager’s duties extend beyond day-to-day operations. He also plays a crucial role in policy-making and strategic planning. Mr. Weber provides professional advice and recommendations to the City Council, helping them make informed decisions that benefit the city and its residents.
In addition to implementing City Council decisions, Mr. Weber is also responsible for overseeing various city departments, including Finance, Public Works, Planning, and other departments. He ensures that these departments are effectively staffed, managed, and equipped to carry out their assigned responsibilities.
City Manager Justin Weber’s background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Prior to being appointed City Manager, Mr. Weber served as Bangor’s Chief of Police, he is also a United States Army veteran who was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and received over a dozen awards for his service.
